Dagens citat. Mark Steyn skriver i en lysande kolumn i Daily Telegraph (länkat till i förra inlägget) rörande Kinas ohyggligt snabba frammarsch. Steyn menar på att vi överdriver, att denna hype inte kommer att vara i längden främst på grund av en stat fortfarande präglad av kommunistiska principer och maktstrukturer.
Han skriver t.ex:

China won't advance to the First World with its present borders intact. In a billion-strong state with an 80 per cent rural population cut off from the coastal boom and prevented from participating in it, "One country, two systems" will lead to two or three countries, three or four systems. The 21st century will be an Anglosphere century, with America, India and Australia leading the way. Anti-Americans betting on Beijing will find the China shop is in the end mostly a lot of bull.

Det är fullt möjligt och det är tankar vi bör fundera över. Indien har visat hur man omvälver sitt land och till fullo drar nytta av det medan Kina tror de kan åka snålskjuts vilket inte kommer att fungera. Kommunismen måste städas ut helt och hållet om Kina ska kunna gå hela vägen.  ¶ 00:02
